Assembly
- Remove the plastic cap from the blade and then carefully slide it into the handle from the top until it rests against the lamp.
- Now, using the Allen wrench, screw the included short, flat-head Allen screws through the screw holes at the top of the handle to securely clamp the blade. You don't need to install them! The remaining pointed and blunt screws are spare; you don't need to do anything with them.
- The Allen screws should be tightened straight into the handle and without resistance.
When reassembling, make sure the Allen screws do not block the blade on the inside of the handle.
To upload
Charge the saber for at least two hours before use. Do not turn the saber on while it is charging. Use a 1A/5V charger. If the saber has been completely discharged, charge it for at least four hours.
Charging with a cable: Insert the cable into the charging port. The light ring will flash slowly. When the saber is fully charged, the light ring will go out or the saber will say "ready." Some legendary sabers have a concealed charging port, usually located on the underside of the saber.
Charging with a separate battery charger: Unscrew the two parts of the saber (leaving all screws) and remove the battery to place it in the charger.
Turn on
When the saber is in standby mode (the button lights up and the blade does not), press the button on the handle once. If the button does not light up, the saber is off and must be held down for about three seconds to turn it on.
To expand
When the saber is on (the blade lights up): Hold down the light-up button until the saber goes out (about three seconds). The saber will then enter standby mode. Hold the button down longer to turn it off completely.
Volumes
Each KenJo Saber has different volumes and a silent/mute mode.
To change the volume, the saber must be in standby mode. Press and hold the button until the light flashes once, then release. You will hear a voice confirmation.
Repeat this process to toggle between volume and mute.
Features
Operation with button from standby mode.
If the saber is completely off, first press and hold the button until you hear a voice confirmation and/or the lighted button, if present, lights up. The saber is now in standby mode.
Hold the button down until the light flashes the number of times described. No lit button? The number of flashes indicated is the number of seconds to press.
0 - Press the button briefly to turn on the saber.
1 - Adjust volume (silent / low / high).
2 - Switch blade style (stable / unstable / pulsating).
3 - Standard mode. Startup styles not available on baselit
4 - Flash on clash on/off.
5- Motion control on/off.
6 - Switch between 12 sound types.
If the saber is not used for more than 20 minutes it will automatically switch off.
Button operation while the saber is on.
0 - Short press the button for blaster block.
1 - Lightning / force loop.
2 - Change color (slowly mix colors).
3 - Color Change (Quickly change standard colors).
4 - Saber returns to standby mode.
Hold the button for about 20 seconds to completely turn the saber off.
Effects
- Blaster sound with flash/bullet ricochet - short press the button.
- Flash on Strike - The KenJo Saber will automatically flash and sound when struck against another saber or object.
- Movement - The KenJo Saber will automatically make sounds when moved.
- Sound and light loop - Hold the button for one second (the light will flash). The saber will flash and continue making sounds as if a saber clash is taking place. Press the button to stop the loop.
Select colors
There are two ways to change the sword's color. The lightsaber must be turned on.
- Press the button. When the light ring flashes for the second time, release the button. The light will now slowly change color. Press the button twice to confirm the color.
- Press the button. When the light ring flashes for the third time, release the button. The lightsaber will now cycle through 12 preset colors. Press the button once to confirm the color.
Motion control from standby mode:
- Switch sound type: Point the saber down and turn it a quarter turn to the left and quickly back.
- Power up saber: Aim the saber in any direction and rotate it a quarter turn to the right and quickly back.
Motion controls when the saber is on:
Set saber off : Aim the saber in any direction and rotate it a quarter turn to the right and quickly back.
