How do I choose the right saber?

Whether you're looking for dueling, cosplaying, or a showpiece for your Star Wars collection, KenJo Sabers has the perfect lightsaber for you!

The hilt is the handle of the lightsaber and comes in various designs. We offer a wide variety of hilt options, ranging from classic to modern, so you can choose a hilt that suits your style. Browse our collections (Premium, Rare, Epic, Essence, and Legendary) to find the perfect hilt for your lightsaber, or use our filter menu to narrow down your search by price range or color, for example. For more information about the collections, please visit the "What's the difference between the collections" tab.

The Saber Choice Quiz provides an overview of suitable models based on your answers to a few questions. Also check out our handy themed collections, where you'll find sabers specially selected for different uses, such as the perfect gift, spinning specials, the best choice for intense dueling, and popular cosplay sabers.

If you're looking for a lightsaber inspired by your favorite movie, series, or game character, you can use the search bar at the top of the page to search for the character you'd like to have a saber of. Because our sabers are linked to these characters, you can find them that way.

You can use our extensive filters to quickly search by handle color, price, blade type, soundboard, or even your favorite character.

Are the sabers suitable for duels?

Absolutely! All KenJo sabers are made of durable polycarbonate, designed for lightsaber-on-lightaber duels. Whether you're reenacting your favorite fight scene or battling friends, we recommend our Baselit sabers for intense duels, thanks to their lightweight and sturdy construction. Neopixel sabers are suitable for medium to intense combat but offer added visual flair. Whichever saber you choose, you can be confident they're designed for action!

Be sure to check out the video below about the strength of our blades and read the blog post . It clearly shows just how sturdy our sword blades are!

Where are you located?

We understand that you'd like to feel the hilt and length in your hands first, so we're happy to provide personalized advice. We can even record a video specifically for you upon request!

Take our saber selection quiz or be sure to use the filters on our website. They'll help you easily find lightsabers based on color, hilt style, soundboard, length, price, or favorite characters.

How many colors does a lightsaber have?

KenJo sabers come standard with 12 different preset colors. These can be easily changed using the button on the lightsaber. You can also choose a custom color by slowly changing the color of the lightsaber. Detailed instructions can be found in the manual that comes with each lightsaber. Some models have different colored hilts. The product page shows which colors each lightsaber is available in. If the desired version is sold out, we don't have it in stock. Would you still like to buy it or have a different request? Please let us know. We'll be happy to see if we can still accommodate it for you.

What's the difference between Baselit and Neopixel sabers/soundboards?

Once you've found a great saberhilt, choose your preferred soundboard. The soundboard kit determines the sound and lighting effects of each saber. At KenJo Sabers, you can choose between Baselit and Neopixel soundboards, depending on your preferences and usage. All our sabers are color-changeable, have smooth swing, and come with multiple sounds (soundfonts) and effects. You always get a premium experience, and all you have to do is choose between Baselit and Neopixel.

Baselit sabers: Equipped with a 12W bulb and a hollow blade, they are ideal for intense dueling. They feature changeable colors, multiple sounds, and a smooth swing for realistic movement effects. The Baselit X3 models can also be controlled via a Bluetooth app but never come with an SD card for customization.

Neopixel sabers: The ultimate lightsaber experience. Equipped with a 40W LED strip for super-bright illumination and vibrant colors, plus impressive blade styles and start-up effects. Neopixel sabers offer an even smoother swing and additional options such as control via a Bluetooth app (available with the Premium Neopixel X3).

You can find more information on each product page under the "Soundboard Selection Help" tab. Or see all the features and differences right away on the comparison page or in the video below.

Why is a Saber sold out in the Super Sale but still available as a regular product?

The Super Sale category features Sabers with a temporary, very good offer. Stock of these products is limited for various reasons. Sometimes it's a clearance sale or because we want to offer you the best deals possible. With the exception of outlet items, the Super Sale category always features brand new products!

PRODUCT INFORMATION

What is your cheapest saber?

Our selection changes regularly, and you can find our cheapest models by filtering by price in the filter menu or by checking out our Super Sale products or Outlet items.

Is the blade resistant to blows and duels?

A saber blade is made of durable polycarbonate and can certainly withstand a blow. It was developed for lightsaber-to-lightsaber duels. While Neopixel blades are also very suitable for duels and offer the best lighting effects, we recommend our baselit sabers for more demanding duels thanks to their light weight and sturdy construction.

Be sure to check out the video below about the strength of our blades and read the blog post . It clearly shows just how sturdy our sword blades are!

What is the difference between the soundboard types?

On every product page you will find a soundboard selection help tab. Here you will find a description and a comparison video. Your choice ultimately depends on your preferences, intended use and your budget. All our sabers are available with different soundboard options: Baselit and various Neopixel versions. In short; Baselit sabers are illuminated from the hilt, while Neopixel sabers have a built-in LED strip in the blade. Neopixel sabers offer high brightness and a realistic effect, including unique effects such as special start-up animations, because each 'pixel' is controlled individually. Neopixel soundboards and Baselit X3 soundboards can also be controlled via a Bluetooth app, but the Baselit X3 is always supplied without an SD card.

Proffie 2.2 soundboards also work with a Neopixel saber blade. Proffie 2.2, however, offers much more extensive customization and configuration. This is done through coding, and it's designed for true computer geniuses. Customizing the soundboard requires considerable time, research, and coding skills. If you want a more accessible way to customize your saber, Premium Neopixel is the better option.

Read this guide about the different soundboard types and watch the video.

Can I change the color of my lightsaber myself?

Every KenJo saber can change color. So you're never limited to a purple, yellow, or classic red/blue or green saber! Each saber has 12 different preset colors to choose from, but you can also choose your own perfect color by slowly changing the color of the saber. How this works for your saber is explained in the included manual or in the online manual for your saber.

How long does the battery last?

Your lightsaber's battery life depends on the type of saber and how intensively you use it. Frequently switching the saber on and off during sessions or using demanding blade/startup styles, for example, will drain the battery more. With intensive use, the saber will last approximately 0.5 to 2 hours.

If you use the saber less intensively or only for display or cosplay, the battery will naturally last longer.

It takes about 2 to 4 hours for your battery to fully charge. Want to know the best way to charge your lightsaber and maximize its battery life? Check out the "Charging Saber" tab in the "Operations" category for all the tips.

Can I choose a shorter sword blade?

Usually, the standard size is fine. If you're still unsure, you can easily calculate whether your saber will be too long by adding the hilt length to the blade length and subtracting the blade depth. (hilt length + blade length - blade depth) This information can be found in the "Specifications" tab on the product page.

If you want a shorter blade, you can choose this option. Baselit blades are easy to shorten yourself with a saw. A hacksaw is a good choice; they are very fine and therefore won't cut too coarsely. After sawing, remove as much sawdust as possible from the blade and sand away any imperfections with soft sandpaper. The foil in the blade helps distribute the light within a Baselit blade, so it must remain in place. Once you've sawed off the bottom, you can add a small drop of hot glue to secure the foil in the blade. For the neatest possible result, it's recommended to measure from the bottom and make marks on the blade to ensure the new bottom is as straight as possible.

This doesn't apply to neopixel blades, but they can be supplied in other sizes upon request. Most sabers come with 92cm blades. You can find this on the product page of the saber you're considering under the "Product Information" tab. We almost always have 82cm blades in stock. 72cm and 62cm blades are also often available for shipping, but if you prefer an even smaller blade, the delivery time will be approximately between 7 and 21 days. Place your order and email us your preference, including your order number.

Can I use my saber as a permanent light?

Our sabers are ideal for display. The battery lasts approximately 1-3 hours, depending on the soundboard version and how much you use it. In principle, the saber can be used while charging. However, we recommend NOT using the sabers as a permanent light source. Charging generates heat, and when the saber is on and illuminates, this heat accumulates. The high-quality aluminum casing cannot fully dissipate the heat for hours or days. The saber will eventually overheat and break if used frequently for hours. The sabers are intended for display, dueling, and, of course, their functions.

We recently added a really cool Display Saber Lamp to our collection. This product has the look of a real lightsaber and is designed to be used as a fixed lighting fixture. You can customize its colors, it has different blade styles, and it even responds to sound/music! It fits into any room!

What materials are the sabers made of?

All KenJo sabers are made of high-quality, durable materials that ensure a realistic appearance and long-lasting use. The hilt (handle) is crafted from lightweight yet super-strong, high-grade aluminum, which is not only sturdy but also has a luxurious finish. The blade is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, known for its strength and durability. Baselit sabers have a hollow blade, and the light emanates from the hilt, while Neopixel and Proffie sabers have an LED strip integrated into the blade itself for intense light and effects. Whichever version you choose, every saber is designed to look fantastic and be durable.

Can I also connect my single sabers to a Dual Saber or Saberstaff?

Many sabers allow you to create a dual saber or saberstaff with a second hilt. Combining two different or even identical hilts is a great way to do it! You'll need a connector ring for this.

Check the specifications page for "dual saber compatibility" and "pommel type" of your saber to determine the type of connection. Sabers that are not dual saber compatible cannot be fitted with a connector ring.

- Pommel type normal must be connected to a connector ring with at least one normal side.

- Pommel type inverted must be connected to a connector ring with at least one inverted side.

Combining a normal and inverted pommel type into a dual saber requires a dual connector ring (one normal and one inverted side), which is the same as the belt clip connector . This belt clip connector is the dual connector ring and therefore both an extension to hang the saber on your belt and a dual connector ring (standard and inverted).

Can I combine my Neopixel saber with a Baselit sword blade?

While Baselit sabers are primarily recommended for extreme duels, our Neopixel sabers are also perfectly suited for intense duels. They're super strong, bright, and offer many more effects than Baselit. Check out the video on the blog page about the strength of our blades!

There are special pixel to rgb converters that allow you to use a Baselit blade on a Neopixel saber (only with our Premium Neopixel X3 models). However, these converters need to be screwed onto the soundboard with a bayonette connection or clamped between the soundboard and blade with the flat version, after which you also need to install different firmware on the saber via the app. The intermediate piece ensures that the blade sits less deeply in the hilt, which is at the expense of stability, because it is precisely the depth of the blade in the hilt that determines how firmly it is attached. A neopixel saber with a decent blade depth, which most sabers have, is extremely suitable for really hard dueling.

Want the light sword feel of a baselit blade, but without the technical hassle, on your Neopixel saber? Then our Daylight blades are ideal. These are baselit blades that are already colored, so you still get a visual effect without any inserts or firmware adjustments.

Are you torn between Neopixel and Baselit for cosplay and duels? Then we recommend just going with a Neopixel saber. It gives you the best of both worlds: powerful visuals and a hilt strong enough for heavy-duty use.

What's in the box when I order?

Every order is complete and ready for action: you'll receive a hilt, blade, screws, tools, instructions, and a minifigure as a gift. Most Legendary sabers even come with a deluxe case, stand, and saber plug. Want to know exactly what you're getting? Check the "What's in the Box" tab on the product page for your favorite saber.

Can I order just a hilt?

At KenJo Sabers, we always supply our sabers as complete sets, as this guarantees the best quality and functionality. Therefore, it's not possible to order just the hilt, as the price difference without the blade is virtually negligible.

Creating a completely custom hilt isn't possible. However, you can personalize your saber with the accessories we offer specifically for our hilts, such as T-grips, straps, and other add-ons. This way, you can make your lightsaber unique and customize it to your own style.

It's not possible to pay in installments, as the payment is only processed in our system once the full order amount has been paid. Klarna is likely a good alternative for you, but feel free to check out the available payment options above.

How do I use a discount code or coupon?

Want to use your discount code? You can enter it in your shopping cart or, if that doesn't work, click "Checkout" and enter the code on the checkout page. DISPATCH

How quickly will my order be shipped?

Once you've placed and paid for your order, you'll receive a confirmation email. Almost all our sabers can be shipped the same day if ordered before 3:00 PM*. As soon as the product is being prepared for shipment, you'll receive a Track & Trace code by email. This allows you to track your shipment and receive updates about its progress. The first updates will be visible at the end of the day you receive the Track & Trace code.

*Some products have a delivery time of 7 to 21 days. If you purchase multiple products, the entire order will only be shipped when it is complete. Always check the shipping tab on the product page for up-to-date information.

Can I still cancel my order?

We do our best to process cancellation requests as quickly as possible. You can submit a cancellation request by emailing info@kenjosabers.com, including your order number. This is only possible if you haven't received tracking information. Please note: your email may not be read and processed immediately. In that case, you can always exercise your 14-day return policy.

A different policy applies to products that are made to order or custom orders: cancellation is no longer possible after 3 days.

Do you ship worldwide?

We ship our sabers to almost every country in the world. During checkout, you can enter your address information, and the available shipping options and their shipping costs will be displayed automatically. This way, you'll know exactly what to expect before you complete your order.

Can I change my address after the order has been placed?

It's only possible to change your address to a different delivery address or parcel point. Having your order delivered to a parcel point can only be arranged through the PostNL app and is not always available. We can sometimes change your address if you haven't received a Track & Trace code. To do so, please email info@kenjosabers.com, including your order number . Without an order number, we cannot process your order, and it may still be shipped.

It is always the customer's responsibility to verify the address information before completing the order. Missing information, such as the house number, may cause shipping delays as we first need to verify the correct address. More information can be found in our shipping policy .

My product was damaged during transport!

We're very sorry to hear this! The delivery service is required to handle purchased items with care and ensure nothing gets damaged during transport. In this case, please contact the delivery service in question first to file your complaint.

Sometimes, fortunately, only the shipping packaging or box is damaged. This is also unfortunate and a waste of the box, as it's precisely the packaging that protects the products. In that case, it's still packaging, and there's no way to recover the damage. If your saber itself is broken, or if the included accessories are broken, please contact us with your order number and include photos/videos so we can clearly see the damage. We're here to help!

TRACK AND TRACE

Track my package

As soon as your order is prepared for delivery, you'll receive a Track & Trace code in your email. This allows you to closely monitor the progress of your package before it arrives. You can enter your Track & Trace code here .

I have not yet received a Track and Trace

After placing your order, you'll receive a Track & Trace code by email as soon as the saber is ready to ship. Almost all our sabers can be shipped the same day if ordered before 3:00 PM. Some products have a delivery time of 7 to 14 days. If you purchase multiple products, the entire order will only be shipped when it is complete. Always check the shipping tab on the product page for up-to-date information. If you haven't received an email, please check your spam folder.

My Track and Trace no longer shows updates

Did you order from abroad and receive your Track & Trace, but it doesn't show any updates? Don't worry, this is normal when the package is traveling internationally. You'll receive updates again once it arrives at the sorting center in your country. This can sometimes take up to 14 business days, but you'll usually receive updates much sooner. Once the package arrives in its destination country, delivery responsibility is transferred to the local shipping partner. Follow this tracking for more accurate updates about your package.

What happens if I'm not home?

Because it's your responsibility as the customer to accept the package, we always recommend making sure someone is home at the delivery address. To prevent lost packages or misunderstandings, we also advise against entering the address of a parcel point.

If no one is present, the postal company can take various further steps depending on their policy: the package can be sent to a parcel point, returned to us, or a new delivery attempt can be made at a later time.

You can always track the status of your shipment via the tracking link you receive, so you stay informed about its location and further delivery options.

My Tracking says the package is being returned to sender

If the address you provided is incorrect and we haven't received a notification in our system, your package will likely be returned to our warehouse. This is often visible on the Track & Trace page. Once we receive the package, we'll contact you with your address details and may make a second delivery attempt. More information about this can be found in our shipping policy .

If the delivery driver has made multiple unsuccessful delivery attempts abroad, the package is often first held at a local parcel point. You won't always receive a notification, so it's important to keep a close eye on your Track & Trace. Once the collection time has passed, the package will be returned to us. In that case, we'll contact you if we've accepted the package and you haven't already done so. We'll assess what's needed to make a new delivery attempt in accordance with our policy .

It's possible the delivery person won't recognize the address, for example, because they're missing an addition or entered it incorrectly in the order. Some internet browsers offer suggestions for entering the address; always double-check these to ensure nothing goes wrong. Our system often notifies you of an unrecognizable address, but not always. It remains the customer's responsibility to check this carefully. In these cases, too, the package may be returned to us, and we'll contact you as soon as we've received it, provided you haven't already done so.

My package was not delivered, what now?

If your package hasn't been delivered, first check the tracking information you received from us. This will show you whether the package is still in transit, at a collection point, or if a new delivery attempt is scheduled.

If you're having trouble, or if the package is marked "delivered" when it isn't, please wait a little longer. In almost all cases, the package will be delivered within the next few days. Otherwise, please contact our customer service at info@kenjosabers.com. Always include your order number and any tracking information, so we can quickly locate your details and, if necessary, initiate an investigation with the postal company.

USING AND SETTING UP

My saber doesn't have a light-up button

You've most likely purchased one of our legendary sabers. Many of these models have a custom concealed button to give the saber an extra realistic look. You can use the manual you have, but the number of flashes described is in seconds.

The latest sabers in the epic and legendary categories (Premium Neopixel x3 and Supreme Neopixel) also support the Bluetooth app, allowing you to easily control the saber's functions from your phone. (Consult the online manual to download the app.)

If your saber doesn't light up while charging, you either have a professional board or are using the wrong charger. Charge with a 5V 2A charger. Maximum 5V 2.4A. Do not use a computer port.

How do I assemble a KenJo Saber?

Remove the protective white or black cap from the bottom of the blade. Slide the blade or plug into the handle until it rests against the light. For a Neopixel model, it's important to push down firmly enough so that the pins retract. Make sure the Allen screws don't block the blade on the inside of the handle. Then, use the included small Allen screws and Allen wrench to firmly clamp the blade into the handle. Be careful not to overtighten the screws.

How does my Baselit/ Neopixel/ Proffie saber work?

Every KenJo Sabers lightsaber comes with a manual. These contain all the instructions on how to use the lightsaber! You can find the most recent and comprehensive versions of these manuals online. Your order confirmation, which you received via email, will indicate which soundboard type you received.

Note: The Proffie soundboard allows you to customize effects, sound types, and other effects. The possibilities are endless. Also check out The Rebel Armory website for information and settings for your Proffie board. Because the Proffie 2.2 soundboard is fully customizable, it does take a bit more time, research, and computer skills to master. Plenty of tutorials can be found on various forums and YouTube. The KenJo Sabers team cannot assist with this.

Charge Saber

To properly maintain your saber, it's important to know how to charge it. This ensures a long lifespan for your saber and prevents damage to the battery or soundboard. Charging cables are always included. Because, in today's technologically advanced world, almost every household has a suitable adapter, they are not included. We recommend an adapter with an output rating of 5V 1A (5 Watts) . This provides the correct voltage and the most stable power supply for the saber.

Because saber batteries, like those in other electronic devices, can slowly drain while you're not using the saber, it's recommended to charge it monthly. This prevents the battery from completely draining. While this isn't a problem in itself, prolonged discharge can damage the battery. If your battery does unexpectedly drain, a 5V 1A adapter might be too weak to charge the battery beyond its 0 point. In this case, you can use an adapter with a maximum output of 5V 3A once. NEVER use an (adaptive) fast charger. These adapters can supply excessive voltage. This, along with the use of any adapter with excessively high output ratings, can burn out the soundboard, leaving it irreparably damaged.

Legendary Sabers:

To stay as true to the design of the famous sabers as possible, the charging port on Legendary sabers is almost always located on the soundboard in the hilt. If you open the hilt, you'll find the USB-C port at the bottom of the hilt, just above the speaker. Most Legendary sabers also have a kill switch; make sure it's set to "on" to charge the saber. Some sabers have a removable soundboard. You'll need to completely remove the removable part before inserting it into the charger. These instruction videos can help you locate the charging port.

My saber partially illuminates

Don't worry, this is probably just a matter of selecting the correct settings. This can vary depending on the soundboard type.

If you have a saber with a Premium Neopixel X3 soundboard, connect your saber to the Xeno Configurator app. Go to 'settings' and select your blade length. Make sure it is set to 133, because the app calculates in pixels and not centimeters. Don't forget to click the 'save' icon at the top right.

Supreme Neopixel soundboards work a little differently. You can adjust this manually with the saber itself. Make sure your saber is completely off, not even in standby mode. Quickly press the power button three times in succession. For sabers with two buttons, use the PWR (top) button.

Putting music on my saber (X3 models)

Only a few fonts have music. If the font does have music or a track, the saber will play music with the correct movement or through the Xeno Configurator app. If you want this on multiple fonts, you can add them to the SD card. Instructions for adding music can be found in the online manual .

The required format is .wav, which you can find in the folders on the SD card. Each Soundfont has its own folder (1, 2, 3, etc.) labeled "track (1)." These folders contain the music you can play. There are countless Soundfonts available online, such as Kyberphonic, but there are countless others. If you're just interested in the music, you can, of course, also load it with what you like or have downloaded, or copy the "track (1)" from other folders.

Before making any changes to the SD card, it's important to back up all the files on it so you can retrieve them if something goes wrong. It's also important to fully update the saber's software using the Xeno Configurator app before making any changes or backing up the SD card. Confirm that the saber is fully functional after updating.

TROUBLESHOOT

My saber won't turn on/charging problems

It's really annoying that your saber isn't turning on or doesn't seem to be charging properly! Often, this isn't a malfunction and is easily fixed with the following steps. For tips on how to keep your battery life optimal and charge your saber properly, check out " Charging Saber" in the "Use and Settings" tab.

- Check the output rating of the adapter you're using; it should be 5V 2.1A. If you have an X3 soundboard, you can also use up to 5V 3A.

- Use the original cable that came with your saber.

- Check if you can clearly feel the button depressing. If you have a saber with a button under the switch blade (like the Icon), and you don't feel the button depressing, go to 'Adjusting the Button'

Sometimes the battery doesn't make good contact with the soundboard. You can remove the battery from the saber, bend the battery clips open, and then put the battery back in. The video below can help you with this.

- Check if your saber gives a charging confirmation
Do you smell burning when you open the saber? Do not perform the following step and contact our service team as explained below.

If the saber hasn't been used for a long time or the battery has been empty for a long time, the battery may be depleted. You can recharge the battery by using the correct charging cable and adapter (5V 2.1A) and charging for four consecutive hours. Even if there's no charging confirmation, the saber may still be charging successfully. So don't interrupt the charging process!

Legendary sabers often have a kill switch on the soundboard itself. This must be set to "on" to charge. The saber cannot charge if the kill switch is set to "off."

Legendary sabers may have two soundboards: a fixed section and a removable section. Open the hilt and test the removable section of the soundboard by pressing and holding the black on/off button.

If the steps didn't work, please send an email to info@kenjosabers.com, including your order number . Copy the steps above and describe your findings for each step . Please include a photo of the adapter(s) you used and, preferably, a video showing the problem. My saber is stuck or giving an error

How annoying that this happened! Fortunately, your saber doesn't need to be left on all night when this happens, and it's easily fixed with the following instructions.

The problem you're experiencing can occur, for example, if the saber is too low and isn't making proper contact with the blade, or if there's a small short circuit. Fortunately, this is easily solved by removing the blade and removing the battery from the saber. Leave it out for a few seconds before reinserting it and charging the saber for four hours with a 5V 2.1A adapter until it's fully charged. After this, you can remove the saber from the charger and reinstall the blade. The best way to do this is by resting the tip of the blade on the ground and applying downward force to the hilt. If you have a Neopixel saber, carefully check if you can feel the pogo pins depressing. Continue applying downward force while installing the blade with the included screws. You can now turn the saber back on. If the saber still doesn't turn on, try holding down the power button while the saber is plugged into the charger.

SD Error

Are you trying to turn on your saber, but only a voice comes out saying "SD Error"? It's quite possible you tried to update the saber through the app, but it failed for some reason. It's always important to keep your phone close to the saber during the update process and not to open other apps or close the Xeno Configurator app. There are two ways to fix this:

Try connecting to the saber using the Xeno Configurator app. If you can connect, continue updating the saber. Don't open any other apps and don't close the Xeno Configurator app. Leave your phone nearby until the update is fully complete.

If you can't connect to the saber, you'll need to manually restore the files on the SD card. Remove the SD card from the soundboard and insert it into the USB SD card reader that came with your saber (or another SD card port on your computer). Replace all the files with the ones from your backup.

Once all files have been replaced, use the "Safely Remove" function (file/folder viewer -> right-click the SD card -> click "Safely Remove Hardware" -> remove the SD card when it's safe to do so). Reinsert the SD card into the saber, fully charge it (for four hours with a 5V 2.1A adapter), and turn it on. You can now update the saber to the latest version.

My saber doesn't light up at all

It's incredibly annoying when your saber doesn't light up (anymore). The following steps can help you solve this problem!

- Check if the top of the saber has pogo pins with small LEDs next to them on the inside. Also check if the LEDs light up.
- Check that the bottom of the sword blade has a round, gold-colored printed circuit board.
You may have installed the blade while the saber was already powered on or in standby mode. This can cause problems. Make sure you completely power down the saber and then install the blade while the saber is still powered off, following the instructions in "How to Assemble a KenJo Saber." Charge the saber and power it back on.
The saber might be in Ghostblade or Blasterblade mode. So try different blade styles to see which ones work best.
You can use the Xeno Configurator app on your phone to update the saber. After that, remove the battery and put it back in after a few seconds.
- Check if the saber brightness isn't accidentally set to '0'?
- For X3 models, also check whether the saber is not accidentally set to Baselit or Neopixel (or vice versa). You can check this in the Xeno app.

If the above steps didn't work, please contact our service team by emailing info@kenjosabers.com, including your order number . Copy the steps above and describe your findings for each step . Also include a video clearly demonstrating the problem and a screenshot of the firmware page in the app. We're happy to help and always find a solution to your problem!

The sword is loose or wobbly

The number of screws used to clamp the sword to the hilt varies by saber. It's important to push the sword as deeply into the hilt as possible (against the lamp or neopixel pins) before tightening the screws. With a neopixel model, be sure to push it down far enough so the screws don't touch the circuit board. These can be tightened firmly. If your sword seems to wobble, tighten the screws to see if this resolves the issue. Avoid over-tightening the threads. It can also help to clamp the sword firmly against the long side of the emitter, not just downward, while tightening the screws. This ensures minimal wiggle room.

Is the blade still moving? Then tighten the screws (be careful not to over-tighten the screw or it will break). Additional tip: A small amount of tape around the underside of the blade can help add some thickness and completely eliminate any movement.

Tip Drag is not working

The Tip Drag effect makes the tip of your Neopixel blade light up when you drag it across the ground. It may take some practice before you master this trick. If you've practiced a lot and the Tip Drag still isn't working, you can fix it by checking the blade length and adjusting it if necessary.

The tip drag is set to 92cm by default; some sabers come with an 82cm blade. Or a setting may have been accidentally changed. The blade length must be adjusted in the saber to make it fully illuminate.

Premium RGB / Neopixel X3:

- Use the Xeno Configurator app to check whether the blade brightness isn't set to '0'. Set it to 100%.

- Use the Xeno Configurator app to check that the blade length isn't set to '0'. Slide it up to the correct blade length for yours.

Supreme Neopixel two buttons: Turn the saber completely off. Press the PWR button three times to switch between 92cm and 82cm. Or download the app from the online manual page to adjust the length on your phone.

Supreme Neopixel One Button: Turn the saber completely off. Press the button three times to switch between 92cm and 82cm. Or download the app from the online manual page to adjust the length on your phone.

Premium Neopixel (non-x3, old version): Remove the SD card from the saber and insert it into your computer using the SD card reader. Open the "set" folder and then open the "config" file to change the "pixel number." 92cm = 133, 82cm = 122. Or use the Bluetooth app "xeno configurator" to set the length via your phone.

If you need more information or help, you can find it under ' My Neopixel blade is only partially lit ' in the 'Use and Setup' tab or check out our online manuals .

I don't hear any sound

The lightsaber may be in mute mode. KenJo sabers have two different volume levels and a mute/silent mode. The latest soundboards have multiple preset volume settings. To change the volume, the saber must be in standby mode. Press and hold the button for one second or until the light flashes once, then release. You will hear a voice confirmation. Repeat this process to switch between volume and mute mode. You can watch the video below for more help setting your saber's sound.

If you still don't hear any sound and suspect something is wrong, check the following:

- Whether the sound works when you use the menu functions
Whether the saber is in 'Ghost Blade' or 'Blaster Blade', try various blade and start-up styles to see if the sound doesn't come out in any of them.
- Make sure the saber is fully charged and remove the battery for a few moments. This resets the saber and may be just what's needed to get the sound working properly again.
- If you have an X3 soundboard, you can use the Xeno Configurator app on your phone to upgrade the saber.
If the saber still doesn't produce sound after updating, you can perform a factory reset via the app.

If these steps don't help, we'd be happy to assist you. The best way to do this is to send us an email at info@kenjosabers.com. Please include your order number and try to explain when you noticed the sound wasn't working (properly). For example, after making changes to the SD card, when the saber fell, or after testing different blade/startup styles. If you also include a video , we can help you more efficiently!

What can I do if the button doesn't click properly?

1. First check that the knob is tightened properly

On most sabers, you can easily check if the knob is tightened enough. This often resolves issues where the knob doesn't respond properly or doesn't click properly.

2. Models with a switchplate (such as Icon and Mark Two)

If your saber has a switchplate, the problem might be with the internal button in combination with the external button and the plate over it. The striped plate (switchplate) holds the external button, which presses the actual button below it on the soundboard.

Step 1: Remove the external button and test the internal button. This will ensure the internal button itself is working properly.

Step 2: If the internal button works fine but not in combination with the external button and plate, there are two ways to solve this:

  1. Remove the external knob and insert an Allen key into the bottom of the knob to turn it open further.
  2. Slide the 'switch' section down to access the adjustment bolt:
  • Carefully remove the plate (be careful not to pop out or lose the spring).
  • Remove the external button, unscrew the screws and slide the switch section down to expose the adjustment bolt.
  • Turn the adjustment bolt inward to apply more pressure (making the button more sensitive) or loosen it if the button is continuously pressed.
  • Watch the sample video for visual support.

Follow these steps carefully and pay close attention to the coil spring. If the problem persists, please contact our customer service at info@kenjosabers.com and include your order number so we can assist you quickly.

My saber won't connect to the app

Did you buy a saber with a soundboard version that can be controlled with an app, but you can't connect it? There are a few things that can help you solve this.

First, make sure you are using the correct Bluetooth app and the most up-to-date version of the app;

  • Premium Neopixel X3 and Baselit X models use the Xeno Configurator app
  • Supreme Neopixel uses the Force Park app .

When installing the app, you may be asked for accessibility and permissions. These requests must be accepted to use the app and connect to the saber.

On some models, the hilt's material blocks the Bluetooth connection. It can be helpful to unscrew the hilt so your phone can find the saber more easily. If you have a saber with a removable soundboard, you can also remove the soundboard to configure your adjustments via the app.

If you have installed the correct app for your soundboard variant, follow these steps:

- Make sure the app is the most up to date version.
- Disconnect any current Bluetooth connections to any device your phone currently has.
- Remove any existing Bluetooth connections to the lightsaber(s) from your phone's Bluetooth menu.
- Delete any existing (if any) Bluetooth connections to the saber within the app.
- Turn off other Bluetooth devices nearby to avoid interference
- Reset the phone: Turn off the phone and restart it
- Reset the saber: remove the battery and put it back in

Now put the saber in standby mode, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and open the app to find the lightsaber. Allow any pop-ups the app may display.

If the saber still won't connect, try using someone else's phone in your household/circle of friends. Once the saber is connected, it needs to be updated. You can do this in the bottom right corner under Settings. Let the saber update, but don't use your phone during this time, don't close the app, and let the process complete.

I hear a crackling or buzzing noise when charging my saber

That can be quite annoying for your peace of mind and sound ominous! This often means the battery has been completely drained for too long, and this is easily solved with the following instructions.

Remove the battery from the saber and gently bend the battery clips slightly to ensure they make good contact with the battery. Plug the original cable into the saber and then replace the battery. Charge your saber for at least 4 hours using a 5V 2.1 amp adapter.

If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact us by emailing info@kenjosabers.com, including your order number and attaching a video where the sound is clearly audible during charging.

My hilt is stuck when twisting

A stuck thread usually occurs when the hilt components are twisted together (even slightly) or when the blade is still in the emitter when you screw it back onto the hilt. The blade puts too much pressure on the threads.

Fortunately, this problem is easily solved :

  1. First remove the blade if it is still installed.
  2. Spray a small amount of WD-40 on the threads.
  3. Lightly sand the beginning of the same thread, so that any burrs and small scratches gradually disappear.
  4. Turn the saber one turn in and one turn out, and repeat until the threads run smoothly.
  5. Wipe the parts clean with an old cloth to remove excess WD-40 and sanding dust.

What is that faint line at the top of my Baselit blade?

Is the light stripe at the tip of a baselit blade too noticeable for your liking? Don't worry, the tip of the blade features a circular, reflective ring that ensures optimal illumination. If this bothers you, you can twist the blade tip open and remove this ring. The light at the top of the blade will then be dimmer than before, but you won't see the light ring anymore. Be careful not to shift the film that runs along the entire blade, as this can cause uneven light distribution.
