Are your sabers suitable for duels?

Absolutely! All KenJo Sabers are made of durable polycarbonate, designed for lightsaber versus lightsaber duels. Whether you're reenacting your favorite fight scene or taking on friends! For very intense duels, we recommend our Baselit sabers, thanks to their light weight and sturdy construction. Neopixel sabers are suitable for medium to hard fights, but have extra visual flair. Whichever saber you choose, you can trust that they are designed for action!

Where are you located?

Our warehouse is located in the Netherlands and all orders are shipped from this warehouse.

At the moment we do not have a physical store, but we are regularly at Comic Con in the Netherlands and Belgium. There you can see, hold and test our KenJo Sabers in real life.

On our website and social media you will find many photos, videos and detailed specifications so you can get a good impression of each saber online. Of course, we understand that you would like to feel the hilt and length in your hands first, which is why we are happy to help you personally with advice. Upon request, we can also record a video especially for you!

How many colors does a lightsaber have?

KenJo Sabers come standard with 12 different preset colors. The colors can be easily changed by using the button on the lightsaber. It is also possible to choose your own color by letting the lightsaber slowly change color. Exact instructions can be found in the manual which comes with each lightsaber. Some models have different colors of hilts. On the product page you can see in which color a lightsaber is available. If the desired variant is listed as sold out, we do not have it in stock. Would you still like to buy it or do you have another wish? If so, please let us know. It is often possible to facilitate a saber specifically for you.

What is the difference between Baselit and Neopixel sabers/soundboards?

When you have found a nice saber hilt, choose which soundboard you want. With each saber, the soundboard kit determines the sound effects and light effects of your lightsaber. At KenJo Sabers you can choose between Baselit and Neopixel soundboards, depending on your preferences and usage: All our sabers are color changeable, have smoothswing, feature multiple sounds (soundfonts) and effects. You always have a premium experience and only have to choose between baselit and neopixel.

Baselit sabers: Equipped with a 12W bulb and hollow blade, ideal for intense dueling. They have changeable colors, different sounds and smooth swing for realistic movement effects. The Baselit X3 models can also be controlled via a Bluetooth app but never come with an SD card to make adjustments on.

Neopixel sabers: The ultimate lightsaber experience. Equipped with a 40W LED strip for super bright illumination and bright colors, plus impressive blade styles and start-up effects. Neopixel sabers offer an even smoother smooth swing and additional options such as control via a Bluetooth app (available with Premium Neopixel X3).

Why is a Saber sold out in the Super Sale but available as a regular product?

The Super Sale category concerns Sabers with a temporary very good offer. The stock of these products is limited for various reasons. Sometimes it is a clearance sale or because we want to give you the sharpest possible offers. With the exception of outlet items, the Super Sale category always includes brand new products!

What is your cheapest saber?

Our selection varies regularly and you can find our cheapest models by filtering by price in the filter menu or take a look at the Super Sale products or Outlet items.

Does the blade withstand punches and duels?

The blade of a saber is made of durable polycarbonate, and can definitely take a beating. It is designed for lightsaber versus lightsaber duels. Although Neopixel blades are also great for duels and offer the best light effects, for heavy duels we recommend our baselit sabers thanks to their light weight and sturdy construction.

What is the difference between the soundboard types?

On each product page is the soundboard selection help tab. Herein you will find a description and comparison video. Your choice ultimately depends on your preferences, intended use and budget. All our sabers are available with different soundboard options: Baselit and various Neopixel versions. In a nutshell; baselit sabers are illuminated from the hilt, while neopixel sabers have a built-in LED strip in the blade. Neopixel sabers offer high brightness and realistic effects, including unique effects such as special start-up animations, because each "pixel" is controlled separately. Neopixel soundboards and Baselit X3 soundboards can also be controlled via a Bluetooth app but Baselit X3 always comes without an SD card.

Proffie 2.2 soundboards also work together with such a Neopixel sword blade. Proffie 2.2 is only much more extensively customizable and adjustable. You do that by coding and it is meant for the true computer genius. It takes a lot of time, your own research and coding skills to customize the soundboard. If you want to make adjustments to your saber in a more accessible way, Premium Neopixel is the better option.

Can I change the color of my lightsaber myself?

Each KenJo saber can change color. So you are never stuck with a purple, yellow or classic red/ blue or green saber! Each saber has 12 different preset colors to choose from, but you can also choose your own perfect color by letting the saber slowly change color. Exactly how this works for your saber can be found in your included manual or in the online manual of your saber.

How long does the battery last?

The battery life of your lightsaber depends on the type of saber and how intensively you use it. For example, turning the saber on and off a lot during sessions or using demanding blade/start up styles requires more of the battery. When used intensively, the saber will last about 0.5 to 2 hours.

If you use the saber less intensively or only for display or cosplay, the battery will naturally last longer.

It takes about 2 to 4 hours before your battery is fully charged again. Do you want to know the best way to charge your lightsaber and thus keep the battery life as long as possible? Then check out the "Saber Charging" tab under the "Operation" category for all the tips.

Can I choose a shorter sword blade?

Usually the standard size is good. If you still have doubts, you can easily calculate for yourself whether your saber will be too long by adding the length of the hilt to the length of the blade and subtracting the sword depth. (Length hilt + length blade - sword depth). This information can be found in the specifications tab on the product page.

If you want a shorter sword blade it is possible to choose this. Baselit sword blades are easy to shorten yourself with a saw. A hacksaw is a good choice, these are very fine so will not cut too coarsely. After sawing, remove as much sawing residue from the sword blade as possible and sand away unevenness with a soft sandpaper. The foil in the sword blade helps with light distribution in a baselit sword blade, so it should stay in place. Once you have cut the bottom off, you can add a small drop of hot glue to secure the foil in the blade if necessary. For the neatest possible result, it is recommended to measure and make marks on the sword blade from the underside so that the new underside is as straight as possible.


This does not apply to neopixel blades, but they can be supplied in other sizes upon request. Most sabers come with 92 cm sword blades. This can be found on the product page of the saber you have your eye on under the 'Product Information' tab. We almost always have 82 cm blades in stock. Also 72 and 62 blades are often available to ship but if you prefer an even smaller blade the delivery time will be approximately between 7 and 21 days. Please place your order and mail us your preference stating your order number right away.

Can I use my saber as fixed lighting?

Our sabers are great for display. The battery lasts about 1-3 hours depending on the sounboard variant and how much you use it. Basically, the saber can be on while it is being charged. However, we recommend NOT using the sabers as a fixed light source. Charging generates heat and when the saber is on and lighting, the heat accumulates. The high quality aluminum housing cannot dissipate the heat completely for hours or days. The saber will eventually have a high chance of overheating and breaking down if you do this a lot and for hours. The sabes are meant for display, dueling and functions of course.

Recently we did add a very cool Display Saber Lamp to our collection. This product has the look of a real lightsaber and is manufactured to be used for fixed lighting. You can adjust its colors, has different blade styles and can even respond to sound/music! So it will fit into any room!

What materials are sabers made of?

All KenJo Sabers are made of high-quality, durable materials that provide a realistic look and long-lasting enjoyment. The hilt is made of lightweight but super strong high quality aluminum that is not only sturdy but also has a luxurious finish. The sword blade is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, known for its strength and durability. On Baselit sabers, the blade is hollow and the light comes from the hilt, while on Neopixel and Proffie sabers an LED strip is incorporated into the blade itself for intense light and effects. Whichever variant you choose, each saber is designed to look great and stand up to a beating.

Can I also connect my single sabers into a Dual Saber or Saberstaff?

With many sabers it is possible to make a Dual saber or Saberstaff with a second hilt. Super fun to combine two different or just the same kind of hilts! You need a Connectorring needed.

Check the specification page for "dual saber compatible" and "pommel type" of your saber to determine the type of connector. Sabers which are not dual saber compatible cannot be fitted with a connector ring.

- Pommel type normal must be connected to a connector ring with at least one normal side.

- Pommel type inverted must be connected to a connector ring with at least one inverted side.

- Normal and inverted pommel type combine to dual saber needs a dual connector ring (one normal and one inverted side) this is the same as the belt clip connector. This belt clip connector is the dual connector ring and therefore both an extension to hang the saber on your belt and a dual connector ring (normal and inverted).

Can I combine my Neopixel saber with a Baselit sword blade?

While Baselit sabers are mainly recommended for extreme duels, our Neopixel sabers are actually great for solid dueling as well. They are super strong, bright and offer many more effects than Baselit. Take a look at the video on the blog page about the strength of our sword blades!

There are special pixel to rgb converters that allow you to use a Baselit blade on a Neopixel saber (only with our Premium Neopixel X3 models). However, you have to screw these converters to the soundboard with bayonet connection or clamp the flat variant between the soundboard and blade, then you also have to put other firmware on the saber via the app. The spacer ensures that the blade is less deep in the hilt, which is at the expense of firmness, namely precisely the depth of the blade in the hilt determines how firmly it sits. A neopixel saber with decent sword depth, which is what most sabers have, is ideally suited for really hard dueling.

Would you still like the light sword feel like a baselit blade gives but on your Neopixel saber without the technical detour? Then our Daylight blades are ideal. These are Baselit blades that are already color-coded, so you still get a visual effect without spacers or firmware modifications.

Doubting between Neopixel and Baselit for cosplay and duels? Then we recommend that you just get a Neopixel saber. With it, you have the best of both worlds: powerful visual effects AND a hilt strong enough for rugged use.

What's in the box when you order?

Every order is complete and ready for action: you receive a hilt, sword blade, screws, tools, manual and a mini figure as a gift. With most Legendary sabers, you even get a deluxe case, stand and saber plug as a gift. Want to know exactly what you get? Can I order a hilt only?

At KenJo Sabers we always deliver our sabers as complete sets, as this guarantees the best quality and functionality. Therefore, it is not possible to order only a hilt, as the price difference without a blade is virtually nil.

It is also not possible to fully assemble a hilt yourself. However, you can personalize your saber with the accessories that we offer especially for our hilts, such as T-grips, straps and other extensions. This way you can still make your lightsaber unique and adapt it to your own style.

ORDERING AND CHECKOUT

How do I know if my product is readily available?

Almost all of our sabers are available directly from stock. If you order before 3 p.m., they will be shipped the same day.

We indicate the stock status of our products with colored balls:

  • Light green: ample stock
  • Orange: stock beginning to run out
  • Red: product out of stock

Some products are made to order, so the delivery time is about 7 to 14 business days. You can find this information in the product description on the product page. These products have a dark green ball with the text "Available for order.

What payment methods can I use?

At KenJo Sabers, you can checkout using the following payment methods:

I don't see my payment method:

From your shopping cart, go to the payment page by clicking on "checkout". Fill in the requested information and at the bottom of the page click "Proceed to Shipping" and then "Proceed to Payment" to display all payment options.

Unfortunately, you cannot pay with a VVV voucher, at this time we only accept the KenJo Gift Certificate as a payment method in the form of Gift Card. Add a product to your cart and proceed to the checkout process to view and select the available payment methods.

Can I pay in installments?

It is not possible to pay in installments, as the saber is only put through our system when the full order amount is paid. Probably Klarna is a good alternative for you but feel free to check above which payment options are available.

How do I use a discount code or coupon?

Want to use your discount code? You can enter it in your cart or, if that fails, click "checkout" and enter the code on the check-out page. Make sure you haven't typed any spaces before or after the code and make sure the code is case sensitive. If this does not work then there could be several reasons.

On Super Sale or outlet products, codes do not work. Because the discounts in Super Sale are already exceptionally high, no additional discount codes can be applied. This is because these sabers are offered at the lowest possible price.otherwise mail for help. You will recognize a Super Sale or Outlet product because it says so in the title or because it can be found in the Super Sale category.

It may be that the discount code has expired. In that case, we also no longer advertise it on the homepage of our website.

Coupons do not work in the shopping cart. Proceed to checkout and enter your coupon code there to redeem it.

SHIPPING

Can I still cancel my order?

We do our best to process a cancellation request as quickly as possible. A cancellation request can be granted by emailing info@kenjosabers.com, quoting your order number. This is only still possible if you have not received tracking information. Please note: it is possible that your e-mail will not be read and processed immediately. In that case, you can of course always use your 14 days right of return.

A different arrangement applies to products made to order or custom orders: cancellation is no longer possible here after 3 days.

When will you ship my order?

Once you have placed and paid for your order, you will receive a confirmation via email. Almost all our sabers can be shipped the same day if ordered before 15:00*. As soon as the product is prepared for shipment, you will receive a Track and Trace code via e-mail. With this you can keep an eye on your shipment and here you will receive updates on the delivery. The first updates will be visible at the end of the day on which you received the Track and Trace code.

*Some products have a delivery time of 7 to 21 days. If you purchase multiple products, the entire order will not be shipped until it is complete. Always check the shipping tab on the product page for current information.

Do you supply worldwide?

We ship our sabers to almost every country in the world. During the checkout process, you can enter your address information and it will automatically show you what shipping options are available and the associated shipping costs. This way you know exactly what to expect before you complete your order.

Can I change my address after the order is placed?

There is limited ability to change address details to a different delivery address or parcel point. Having your order delivered to a package point can only be set up via the PostNL app and is not always available. Only if you have not yet received Track and Trace, we can sometimes still change the address details. Please send an email to info@kenjosabers.com stating your order number. Without an order number we cannot process it and there is a chance that it will be sent anyway.

It is always the customer's responsibility to check the address information before completing the order. If any information is missing, such as the house number, shipping may be delayed because we must first find out the correct address information. More information can be found in our shipping policy.

My product was damaged in transit!

Of course we are very sorry to hear that! The parcel service must at all times handle the purchased items with care and ensure that nothing gets damaged during transport. In this case, please first contact the relevant delivery service to file your complaint.

Sometimes, fortunately, only the transport packaging or box is damaged. That is also an annoying case and a waste of the box, but it is wrapped around the products to protect them. In that case it remains packaging and this cannot be recovered. Is your saber itself broken or are the supplied accessories broken, please also contact us with your order number and send photos / videos so we can see what the damage is. We are ready to help you!

TRACK AND TRACE

Track my package

As soon as your order is prepared for delivery, you will receive a Track and Trace code in your mail. This allows you to closely monitor the steps your package goes through before it is delivered to you. You can enter your Track and Trace code here .

I haven't received a Track and Trace yet

After you place your order you will receive a Track and Trace code in the mail as soon as the saber is ready to be shipped. Almost all our sabers can be shipped the same day if ordered before 15:00. Some products have a delivery time of 7 to 14 days. Are you buying multiple products? Then the entire order will not be shipped until it is complete. Always check the shipping tab on the product page for current information. If you have not received an email, also check your spam folder.

My Track and Trace no longer shows updates

Have you ordered from abroad and received your Track and Trace but it does not update? Don't worry, this is common when the package is in transit internationally. As soon as it arrives at the sorting center in your country, you will receive updates again. Sometimes this can take up to 14 business days but usually you will receive updates again much sooner. From the moment the package arrives in the destination country, delivery responsibility is transferred to the local shipping partner. Follow this tracking for more accurate updates on your package.

What happens when I'm not home?

Since it is your responsibility as the customer to receive the package, we always recommend making sure that someone is at home at the delivery address. To avoid packages getting lost or misunderstandings, we also advise against entering the address of a parcel point.

If no one is there, the postal service may take several follow-up steps depending on their policy: the package may be sent to a package point, returned to us, or a new delivery attempt may be made at a later time.

You can always track the status of your shipment via the tracking link you receive, so you can stay informed about its location and further delivery options.

My Tracking says the package is being sent back to sender

If the address you have entered is incorrect and we have not received notification of this in our system, your package will probably be sent back to our warehouse. Often this is also shown on the Track and Trace page. As soon as we receive the package, we will contact you about your address details and we can make a second delivery attempt. More information about this can be found in our shipping policy.

When the delivery driver has made several delivery attempts abroad but these were unsuccessful, the package is often first stored at a local parcel point. You will not always be notified of this, so it is important to keep an eye on your Track and Trace. If the pick-up time has passed, the package will be sent back to us. In that case we will contact you if the package has been accepted by us and you have not already done so. We will see what is necessary to make a new delivery attempt in accordance with our policy.

It may happen that the delivery person does not recognize the address, for example because it is missing an addition or was entered incorrectly when ordering. Some internet browsers give suggestions for filling in the address, always check these so it cannot go wrong. Often our system also gives a notification of an unrecognizable address but not always. It remains the customer's responsibility to check this properly. Also in these cases the package may be sent back to us and also in this case we will contact you as soon as it has been accepted by us and you have not already done so yourself.

My package was not delivered, now what?

If your package has not been delivered, first check the tracking information you received from us. Here you can see if the package is still on its way, at a pickup point or if a new delivery attempt is planned.

If you can't find it, or if the parcel is marked "delivered" when it isn't, please wait a little longer. In almost all cases the package will be delivered in the next few days. Otherwise, contact our customer service via info@kenjosabers.com. Always include your order number and any tracking information, so we can find your details quickly and if necessary/possible start an investigation with the postal company.

OPERATION AND SOLUTIONS

How does my Baselit/ Neopixel/ Proffie saber work?

Each lightsaber from KenJo Sabers comes with a manual. This contains all the instructions on how the lightsaber works! You can find the most recent and extended version of these manuals online. In your order confirmation, which you received via email, you can find which soundboard type you received.

Note: The Proffie soundboard allows you to set your own effects, sound types and other effects. The possibilities are endless. Also check out The Rebel Armory website for information and settings for your Proffie board. Because the Proffie 2.2 soundboard is fully customizable it does require a bit more time, your own research and computer skills to master. Plenty of tutorials can be found on various forums and Youtube. The KenJo Sabers team cannot help with this.

Saber charging

To properly maintain your saber, it is important that you know the best way to charge your saber. This way you guarantee a long life of your saber and prevent damage to the battery or soundboard. Charging cables are always included. Because, in today's technological society, almost every household has a suitable adapter, these are not included. We recommend an adapter with output value of 5V 1A (5Watt). This is because that provides the right amount of voltage and the most stable power supply for the saber.

Because saber batteries, like batteries of other electronic devices, can also slowly drain while you are not using the saber, it is advisable to charge the saber every other month. This prevents the battery from draining completely. This in itself is not a problem but if this continues for a long time, it can damage the battery. If your battery does unexpectedly run out, a 5V 1A adapter may be just too weak to bring the battery over the 0 point. In this case, you can use an adapter with a maximum output value of 5V 3A once. NEVER use an (adaptive) fast charger. These types of adapters can cause a supply of too high voltage. This, and the use of any adapter with too high output values, can cause the soundboard to burn out after which it is damaged beyond repair.

Legendary Sabers:

To stay as true to the desing of the famous sabers as possible, the charging port on Legendary sabers is almost always rejected on the soundboard in the hilt. Search a bit, you can flip open the hilt and you'll see the USB-C port at the bottom of the hilt, just above the speaker. Most Legendary sabers also have a 'Kill Switch', make sure it is set to 'on' to charge the saber. Some sabers have a removable soundboard. This requires you to remove the removable part completely before inserting it into the charger. These instructions videos can help you find the charging port.

My saber gives partial light

Don't worry, this is probably a matter of setting the right setting. This may vary by soundboard type.

If you have a saber with a Premium Neopixel X3 soundboard, connect your saber to the Xeno Configurator app. Go to 'settings' and select your blade length here. Make sure this is set to 133, as the app calculates in pixels and not centimeters. Do not forget to click on the 'save' icon at the top right.

With Supreme Neopixel soundboards it works a little differently. You can adjust this manually with the saber itself. Make sure your saber is completely off, not even in stand by. Press the on/off button three times in quick succession. For sabers with two buttons, use the PWR (top) button.

Putting music on my saber (X3 models)

There are only a few fonts with music. If the font does have music or a track on it, the saber will play music with the appropriate motion or via the xeno configurator app. If you want that on multiple fonts, you can add that on the SD card. You can add this via the SD card, instructions for this can be found in the online manual.


The required format is .wav and you can find it on the SD card in the folders. Each soundfont has its own folder (1, 2, 3, etc) under the name "track (1)" in these folders are the music you can play. There are lots of soundfonts on the internet, Kyberphonic for example is a well known one but there is really a lot. If you only want the music, you can of course also add what you like or have downloaded or copy the "track (1)" from other folders.

Before you make changes on the SD card, it is important that you make a backup of all the files on the SD card so that if something goes wrong, you can always find them back. What is also important is that you make sure you fully update the saber's software via the xeno configurator app first before making any adjustments or backing up the SD card. Confirm for yourself that the saber is fully functioning properly after updating.

TROUBLESHOOT

My saber does not turn on/ charging problems

Very annoying that your saber does not turn on or does not seem to charge properly! Often this is not a malfunction at all and can be easily fixed with the following steps.

- Check the output values of the adapter you are using, this should be 5V 2.1A. If you have an X3 soundboard you may also use up to 5V 3A.

- Use the original cable that came with your saber.

- Check that you can clearly feel the button being pressed. If you have a saber with a button under the switchplage (like the Icon), and you can't feel the button pushing, go to 'Adjust button'.

- Sometimes the battery doesn't make good contact with the soundboard. You can remove the battery from the saber, bend open battery clips, and then put the battery back in the saber.

- Check if your saber gives a charging confirmation ("Charging")
Do you smell a burning smell when you turn the saber open? Then do not perform the next step and contact our service team as explained below.

- If the saber has not been turned on for a long time or the battery has been dead for a long time, the battery may have become exhausted. You can bring the battery back over the 0 point by using the proper charging cable and adapter (5V 2.1A) and charging for 4 consecutive hours. Even if no charging confirmation comes, the saber may still be successfully charging. So do not interrupt the charging process!

- With legendary sabers, in many cases there is a 'kill switch' on the soundboard itself. This must be set to 'on' to charge. The saber cannot charge when the kill switch is set to 'off' 'off'.

- On Legendary sabers, the soundboard may have two parts; a fixed part and a removable part. Open the hilt and test the removable part of the soundboard by holding the black on/off button.

Send a picture of the adapter(s) you used and preferably a video on which we can see the problem you have. This way we can more quickly identify the cause of the problem and provide you with help and a solution as efficiently as possible. We are ready to help you and solve it with you no matter what!

My saber is stuck or gives an Error

How annoying that this has happened! Fortunately, your saber does not have to be left on all night when this is the case and is easily solved with the following instructions.

For example, the problem you are experiencing can happen when the saber is too empty and then does not make good contact with the sword blade or when there has been a small short circuit. Fortunately, this is easily solved by taking the sword blade off and removing the battery from the saber. Leave it out for a few moments before putting it back in and charging the saber for 4 hours with a 5V 2.1A adapter so that it is fully charged. After this, you can remove the saber from the charger and reassemble the sword blade. This is best done by resting the tip of the sword blade on the ground and exerting downward force on the hilt. If you have a Neopixel saber, feel carefully if you can feel the pogo pins pressing in. Keep applying downward force while mounting the sword blade with the screws provided. You can now turn the saber back on. If the saber still does not turn on, then try it again by holding down the button while the saber is plugged into the charger.

SD Error

Are you trying to turn on your saber but only a voice comes out saying "SD Error"? If so, it is quite possible that you tried to update the saber via the app but failed for some reason. It is always important to keep the phone close to the saber during the update process and not go to other apps or close the Xeno Configurator app. There are two ways to solve this:

Try connecting to the saber through the xeno configurator app. If you can connect, continue updating the saber. Do not open other apps or close the xeno configurator app. Leave the phone close to you until the update is fully completed.

If you can't connect to the saber, you will need to restore the files on the SD card manually. Remove the SD card from the soundboard and insert it into the USB SD card reader that came with your saber (or another SD card port on your computer). Replace all the files with the files from your backup.


After all files are replaced, use the "Safely Remove" function (file/folder viewer --> right-click on the SD card -> click on Safely Remove Hardware -> remove the SD card when safe to do so). Reinsert the SD card into the saber, charge it completely (for 4 hours with a 5V 2.1A adapter) and turn it on. You can now update the saber to the latest version right away.

My saber gives no light at all

Super annoying when your saber doesn't light (anymore). The following steps can help you solve this problem!


- Check if the top of the saber has pogo pins on the inside with small LEDs next to them. Also check if the LEDs give light.
- Check if the bottom of the sword blade has a round, gold colored circuit board.
- You may have mounted the sword blade when the saber was already on or in Stand By. This can cause problems. Make sure you turn the saber off completely and then mount the sword blade while the saber is still off according to the instructions as described in "how to assemble a KenJo Saber. Charge the saber and turn it back on.
- Possibly the saber is in ghostblade or blaster blade mode. So try out different blade styles to see what styles work.
- You can use the Xeno Configurator app on your phone to update the saber. After this, you can take the battery out and put it back in after a few moments.
- Check that the brightness of the saber is not accidentally set to '0'?
- For X3 models, also check that the saber is not accidentally set to Baselit or Neopixel (or vise versa). You can check this in the Xeno app.

Tip Drag doesn't do it

The Tip Drag effect causes the tip of your Neopixel blade to light up as you drag it along the ground. It may take some practice before you completely master this trick. If you've practiced a lot and the Tip Drag still doesn't work, you can fix the problem by checking the blade length and adjusting it if necessary. How to do this for your saber, read"My Neopixel blade only partially lights up" or check out our online manuals.

I hear no sound

Perhaps the lightsaber is in silent/mute mode. KenJo Sabers have two different volumes and a silent/mute mode. The very latest soundboards have multiple preset volume settings. To change volume, the saber must be in standby mode. Press and hold the button for one second or until the light flashes once, then release. A voice confirmation will now occur. Repeat this process to switch between volume and mute modes. You can watch the video below for more help in setting the sound of your saber.

If you still don't hear sound and suspect something is wrong, check the following points:

- Whether the sound does when you use e menu functions
- Whether the saber is in 'Ghost Blade' or 'Blaster Blade', try various blade - and start-up styles to see if the sound is not heard with any of the styles.
- Make sure the saber is fully charged and remove the battery for a few moments. This resets the saber and could possibly be exactly what is needed to get the sound working properly again.
- If you have an X3 soundboard, you can use the Xeno Configurator app on your phone to update the saber.
- If the saber still does not give sound after updating, you can perform a "factory reset" through the app.

If these steps do not help you, then of course we are happy to help you. In that case it is best to send us an email at info@kenjosabers.com. Mention your order number and try to explain from when you noticed that the sound did not work (properly) anymore. For example after you made adjustments on the SD card, when the saber was dropped or after testing out different blade/start up styles. If you include a video right away, we can help you as efficiently as possible!

What can I do if the button doesn't click properly?

1. First check that the knob is tightened properly

With most sabers, you can easily check that the knob is tight enough. Often this already fixes problems where the knob does not respond properly or does not click properly.

2. Models with a switchplate (such as Icon and Mark Two)

If your saber has a switchplate, the problem may lie with the internal knob in combination with the external knob and the plate over it. The plate with the stripes (switchplate) holds the external button that depresses the actual button below it on the soundboard.

Step 1: Remove the external button and test the internal button. This way you can verify that the internal button itself is working properly.

Step 2: If the internal button works well but not in conjunction with the external button and board, there are two ways to fix this:

  1. Remove the external knob and insert an Allen key into the bottom of the knob to open it further.
  2. Slide the "switch" part down to reach the adjustment bolt:
  • Carefully remove the plate (make sure the spring does not pop out or get lost).
  • Remove the external knob, unscrew the screws and slide the switch portion down to reveal the adjustment bolt.
  • Turn the adjustment bolt inward to apply more pressure (make button more sensitive) or looser if the button remains continuously pressed.
  • Watch the sample video for visual support.

My saber does not connect to the app

Did you buy a saber with soundboard variant that can be controlled with an app but can't get it connected? There are a few things that can help you resolve this.

When installing the app, you may be asked for accessibility and permission. These requests must be accepted in order to use the app and connect to the saber.

On some models, the material of the hilt blocks the bluetooth connection. It may help to rotate the hilt open so your phone can find the saber better. If you have a saber with a removable soundboard, you can also take out the soundboard to set your adjustments through the app.

Make sure you have the most recent version of the app on your phone, if that still doesn't connect the saber, try it with someone else's phone in your home keeping/friends circle.

I hear crackling or buzzing when charging my saber

This can be quite annoying for your peace of mind and sound ominous! Often this means that the battery has been completely drained for too long and this is easily solved with the following instruction.

Remove the battery from the saber, gently bend the battery clips slightly to make sure they make good contact with the battery. Plug the original cable into the saber and only then replace the battery. Charge your saber for at least 4 hours with a 5V 2.1 amp adapter.

My hilt is stuck turning together

A seized thread usually occurs when the hilt parts are twisted together crookedly (even if only slightly) or if the blade is still in the emitter when you turn it back on the hilt. This is because the blade creates too much pressure on the threads.

Fortunately, this problem is easy to solve:

  1. First, remove the blade if it is still mounted.
  2. Spray a small amount of WD-40 on the thread.
  3. Lightly sand the beginning of the same thread, gradually removing any burrs and small scratches.
  4. Turn the saber one turn in and one turn out, and repeat until the threads run smoothly.
  5. Wipe the parts with an old cloth to remove excess WD-40 and sanding dust.
Warranty and returns

How long do I have warranty on my saber?

At KenJo Sabers, we offer lifetime technical support and a one-year warranty on every saber. If you experience problems and cannot find a solution in this FAQ, please contact us. We will check with you whether it is a defect and always offer an appropriate solution! The warranty does not apply to defects caused by improper use. You can read more about the warranty in our General Terms and Conditions.

I suspect my saber is defective

Have you received your saber but are experiencing problems with it? That is of course very annoying! Many problems can be solved remotely and often the solution can be found in the tab above or in the troubleshoot .

If these instructions did not help, please send an email to info@kenjosabers.com mentioning your order number and describe as well as possible the problem you are experiencing with your saber. Send a picture or video so we get a good picture of what you mean. We are happy to help you find a solution and if necessary we can choose to take your saber back for inspection and repair before sending it back to you. Can I exchange my lightsaber?

Of course, that's no problem! At KenJo Sabers, you can easily exchange your order within 14 days of receipt. Whether you want to change models or try a different type, we are happy to help you arrange this quickly and smoothly.

How do returns work?

Not completely satisfied with your product, no problem of course! At KenJo Sabers you can easily return your order thanks to our money-back guarantee. Should you change your mind, you can do so within 14 days of receipt. Please note: Purchases made at a trade show or event are outside the legal right of withdrawal and cannot be returned. We understand that this can sometimes be unfortunate, but we are happy to help you with questions about these purchases through our customer service team.

When will I receive my refund?

When we have received a return where you have requested a refund it will be processed within 14 business days. When the saber passes inspection properly, we submit the refund request. From then on, it may take a few more days before it is actually processed.

Are parts available separately if something is lost or damaged?

Did you unexpectedly lose a part of your lightsaber or did something break? That is of course very annoying. Often it is possible to order parts for the saber you have separately and send them to you, but this depends on the exact situation. The parts are specially selected for your model and cannot be ordered to add to other hilts.
